Christmas came fast and furious this year. Final exams ended and I moved right into shopping, baking, wrapping mode. I love this time of year so much. I love the traditions, warm cozy nights watching movies, yummy Christmas goodies, Christmas Eve service and just the peace and hope that this time of year brings.
In true Evans’ family tradition, we enjoyed all our usual Christmas Eve treats, we saw the Deer Field lights and the Prosper dancing lights house, we went to Christmas Eve service at Hope followed by a Dove style Christmas Party at Nana’s. We also went to the Gift of Christmas at Prestonwood for the third year. It did not disappoint.
We also added some new traditions this year that I hope we continue. The kids did a “Sibling Gift Exchange” with each other on Christmas Eve. They each had a budget and went shopping at Five & Below. It was so fun to see them put so much thought into their gifts and they were so excited to give them to each other. I was happy they got to experience the gift of giving!
And, we added a couple new Christmas Cookie recipes to the rotation! Peppermint Melt Aways and Cinnamon Cream Cheese Cookies! Both were keepers for sure!
Santa brought our family a ping pong table! It’s been so much fun!
Luke got a new airsoft gun, a Traxxas RC Truck, a new tackle box, an Amazon Dot, a personalized Yeti, and Addidas Ultra Boost shoes.
Olivia got a sewing machine, a subscription to Crazy Pants, Beats headphones, a lighted makeup mirror, an Amazon Dot, a personalized Yeti, a Made to Move Barbie, and lots of clothes.
Emily got Coco the monkey, a ballet barre, dance shoes and clothes, a robot dog, a Made to Move Barbie, LOL Big Surprise, Matilda Jane Clothes, a stuffed puppy, and arts/crafts supplies.
I got a Cricut!!! And a wireless charger for my phone, AirPods, Body Shop bath stuff, delicious peppermint bark, and a beautiful Kendra Scott necklace with my birthstone!
What an amazing year 2018 has been for our family. We are blessed beyond measure and have so much to look forward to!
