This weekend was a busy one!
We had football and cheer practices on Friday evening. After cheer, the girls and I snuck away and went to see the new Beauty and the Beast movie. Emi made it about half-way before she feel asleep on my lap. Sweet girl. But, Olivia and I LOVED it! I was a little worried that it wasn’t going to stay true to the original story (considering all the controversy) but it was great! I think Disney did a fantastic job and I can’t wait to see it again.
On Saturday, Olivia went to a friend’s house to play and Emi spent the morning making a Leprechaun trap. By the way, when did catching a Leprechaun become a “thing” on St. Patty’s Day? I was a little caught off-guard when Emi came home from school on Friday asking why the Leprechaun didn’t come to our house and leave her gold and candy. She said her friend made a trap and found little tiny Leprechaun shoes. Oh my.
Later that evening, Luke invited a few friends over for his (late) birthday. We took the boys to do indoor surfing and grilled hamburgers. They hot tubbed and watched movies and ate way too much candy and cupcakes. Luke had a blast.
On Sunday, Olivia had a cheer competition in Arlington so we were up bright and early doing hair and make-up. Her team did the best I have seen them perform and hit ZERO! That’s cheer speak for getting no deductions! We celebrated with lunch at Outback Steakhouse and then headed home for some much needed naps.
All in all, it was a fun (but busy) weekend.
